My husband and I have worked closely with Cheryl O’Grady and the Canine Rescue Team since August 2009. We have had a few dogs that we have fostered and they have found good homes.

We started researching rescue organizations and Cheryl seemed to match our philosophies on rescue. We both believe that all dogs deserve the right to be happy and healthy. No matter what and having a loving family to support the dogs to achieve success was a big thing for us as well.

We started off with a Male lab mix that came to us and was very well behaved and he was adopted in a few weeks. We then had a Rottweiler mix that stayed with us for 2 months approx, who also found a very loving home. We have also had a Saint Bernard and Beagle mix as well. All of these dogs receive veterinary treatment when needed as we would take the animals to our veterinary as it was closer for us to get the medical treatment when needed.

The food was supplied when we needed it. All the dogs came with the essentials when dropped off to us. This included food, bedding, leashes and some chew toys for them. When ever we asked for any type of treats or toys, we got what we needed. We had one of the foster dogs go to the groomers as he was a little more work to bath and clean.

We have enjoyed our time with fostering for the Canine rescue team as well we have developed a friendship and fantastic working relationship with Cheryl and her husband in providing the dogs with a stable environment in order to allow the rescues to move forward and become a functioning part of society.  We have established such a relationship that we have been to their home to visit and have seen a clean and well maintained home with 3 dogs and a cat.

We are firm believers in seeing how someone treats their animals as a good judge of character. For this reason we have decided to continue working with Cheryl and The Canine Rescue Team. They take every effort to provide their own personal pets and the foster dogs with the best food that can be afforded as well all veterinary care needed whenever needed. This is evidence to us that they truly care about the animals and put them first.

We have looked at other rescues and we would not foster for anyone else as my husband and I feel that we are working with caring and a truly honorable rescue that only wants what is best for the animals.
